Wishes for the New Year.

Few
days, the year ends, and a new year begins, and as usual every year we receive
the new year full of wishes and hopes for our next year to be more beautiful
and more generous and generous with us than its predecessor. We are not the
only ones who carry these wishes for our self, our family and our friends. As we
wish a quiet and peaceful life, and to we enjoy security and peace, they also
hope for a safe life, enjoying their most basic rights in their long days , no
matter how short they are compared to our days in this life. Ghalia wishes, I wanted
to convey them to you on behalf of her , and also on behalf of every pure
innocent soul like her , who lives with us in society. My Ghalia, which I will tell you now about her wishes for
the New Year, is a small puppy of stray dogs, our very beautiful balady dogs,
and I called her Ghalia. I knew her for not more than two months, and her life
in life did not exceed three months, and despite her very early departure from
our world, she left a huge impact on me, and left a deep and great love in my
heart like all stray dogs I befriend him on the streets. Yes all of them- without exception- they give those who
befriend them sincere feelings and great unconditional love. Since Ghalia was
one month old, I used to go every day to her place where she lives with her
mother and sisters puppies and the rest of the flock members in a street near
my house, to put food and toys for them, and spend a good fun, safe, and
completely satisfied moments standing between them. I was never hurt by any of
them , but quite the opposite, each of them is keen to protect me and defend me
-if necessary- they are always ready to guard me, so that they even take turns
walking next to me, wherever I go on the street or in the streets around my
house, they comfort me and secure my way. Nobody trained them to do these acts,
and I never asked them of course, but what they all do is motivated by their
great love for me, as a friend who is compassionate to them, and by their
instinct that they have been mounting on them to guard us and guard our homes and
our streets, where God created them to live in order to perform this lofty
mission without compensation or Conditions, but their eyes make many wishes.
Wishes
like the one that captivated me with Ghalia spirit while saying goodbye to this
world, to pass it on to you, may one day find resonance in your hearts and your
conscience. Ghalia departed a few days before the end of the year, but just
before her departure, her cheering breaths carried very great wishes. Ghalia left after suddenly falling motionless
in a morning, I took her quickly to the vet clinic near my home, she was in a
lot of pain, but tried to resist and cling to life after she walked the
necessary medicines and solution in her little veins, awakened for a moment and
gave me hope that she will survive, but the pain that she was suffering was
stronger than her meager body and her few months of longevity. She shouted her
thunderous cry, and then she put her breath away forever. Her cry was loaded
with wishes that had not yet been fulfilled for her and for all the stray dogs
in our society. But she sent her to the sky,
with her innocent soul, ascending to her Creator, who quickly recovered his
deposit. Ghalia death was due to
swallowing a solid body lying in one of the many piles of rubbish accumulated
in the street, which caused her lick the
wall of the stomach, causing her to suffer excruciating pain for two whole days
before she was relieved of her torments and hand over the soul to God. Ghalia
hoped that she would have lived in clean streets free of human trash and their
rubbish , which they dumped indifferently in all directions, to harm the street
human beings and its inhabitants, including animals and pedestrians. She hoped
that her family and all the stray dogs in Egypt would find mercy from the
community members who forgot that companionship with them and all animals is a
religious and human obligation, and not a prosperity as some people think. She
wished that a caring hand would extend to the rest of the little heads who live
in the open raised and give them safety, as their parents ( dogs) offer safety
for people when they guard their streets and
homes at night while ,they sleep at homes in their warm beds.
While Ghalia and her sisters were curling their mother's
bosom seeking warm in the cold winter nights, she wished that no treacherous
hand extend to any of her hungry relatives and provide them with poisoned food
that cut their intestines and tasted them painfully to death, then left their
bodies lying in the street to be humiliated after their death as they insulted
the cruelty of the hearts while they were still alive. Ghalia made many wishes,
but all of them were postponed wishes in her life. Ghalia went with a clean
smile on her little face, perhaps seeing with certainty that she was going to
the absolute safety,
and that no one can harm her after that moment in which she embraced her soul.
With her smile, Ghalia
asked me to convey to you her wishes for the new year. I buried her with my
childhood cover as she was cuddling me, I left with her three white flours in
her grave representing the three month
she liver . I was with Ghalia when she died , as when I was accompanying her
for hours, playing with her and letting her loosen my shoe strap with her
little teeth and laughing at the fullness of my heart and soul. I did not leave
her when she fell sick, nor in the hours after her death until her burial, I
wanted to let her know that she was really darling, and also very precious.
Its
spirit is from God’s spirit as ours, only God who has no partner who blew in
all his creatures from his spirit, and the spirit of God is precious. While I was wrapping it in my
childhood cover, I told her that her life was valuable, not as some people
accused her due to their ignorance and their disbelief in the wisdom of God in
his creation and his willingness on the land, which she and her family and all
the people of her skin wanted to share life with. Her wishes were nothing but
kindness with her, her family, and all of her species, which none of them chose
or chose to create. She only aspired for a mouthful of hunger and a drink of
water to quench her thirst. She only wanted a safe life without the threat of
poisoning or abusing to death, or harming any passing rugged feet that
ruthlessly strayed to keep her out of the way while passing through the street
where she lives, which God wanted her to live in, was a wisdom he decided and
valued. But my wishes to her and for all the members of her family in our
street and in every street in my country, to enjoy small houses specially built for them
in the streets, so that they can be blessed with its warm walls during the
nights of winter, and kept from the sun with their roof during the summer
months. My wishes for all the stray dogs that people offer them safe not poisoned
food to fill their hunger, and clean water to quench their thirst. And to
be safe in their lives. And that every member of this society- whether Muslim
or Christian- knows that animal welfare to each of these precious souls is a
duty upon him. And that taking care of animals is
obligatory for every human being. And that God will look at us and compensate us for each
of the animal soul and spirits, which we were trusted on it when God wanted them
to live among us as pets. They befriend humans once they extend to them
merciful hands. These wishes
remain precious to me and also to Ghalia the little puppy, perhaps one day they
will be fulfilled in a society where humanity and mercy prevail.
